[…] Qualche giorno fa ho avuto la possibilità di visitare la mostra “Mattia Preti. Della fede e umanità“, che si teneva a Taverna, bellissimo paese della presila catanzarese dove l’artista nacque nel 1613, esattamente 400 anni or sono. Per me è stata un’ottima occasione per rinfrescare le conoscenze su questo mio illustre conterraneo: già nel 1999, infatti, ero a Catanzaro quando il capoluogo celebrava il tricentenario della morte dell’artista con la mostra “Mattia Preti, il Cavaliere Calabrese“, presso il complesso monumentale del San Giovanni. Ora, se vi siete persi la mostra di Taverna (che chiudeva il 21 aprile), vi conviene valutare l’opportunità di fare un salto a Malta, dove l’esposizione di opere provenienti da vari luoghi (dal Prado di Madrid al Louvre di Parigi, dal Museo di Capodimonte di Napoli alla Pinacoteca di Brera di Milano, dai Musei Vaticani agli Uffizi di Firenze) si trasferisce dal 4 maggio al 7 luglio. Thank you for your comment and suggestions. We are pleased that you have enjoyed visiting our sites and museums. Road signage to Ggantija has been updated upon relocating the entrance to the present location. Unfortunately during works in the area you are referring to, some of these signs were removed but these will be put up again at first opportunity.

On Sunday, my wife and I visited some of the the Heritage attractions at Gozo.These included Il-Ggantija, and the Museums at ic-Cittadella. Great improvements could be noticed in all sites, quite different from my last visit some years ago. Good work all round!
Just a small suggestion: since works are in hand at il-Ggantija, is it possible to have more signs for the benefit of public transport users?
